** Lineage is calculated using direct lineage extraction.
*** Extraction of view SQL during MDE is not supported. Lineage information is generated from DDL queries ingested during QLI and DDL queries run in Compose.
BI Connectors¶
* Lineage for Dataflows is supported for Alation versions 2023.3.3 or higher.
** Column-level lineage is supported only for SQL Server when the field names are same for RDBMS table columns, dataset fields and report fields.
*** Report Lineage and Column-level Lineage are supported for the following data sources: MySQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redshift, Databricks and Google BigQuery. However, Column-level lineage is supported for Databricks and Google BigQuery only when the database column and explore field name are same.
**** Table level lineage is suppored only for in-memory cubes.
