Redwood City, Calif. – October 28, 2020 – Alation Inc., the data intelligence company, today announced that virtual RevAlation will return on Thursday, December 3, 2020. In response to great customer feedback from the company’s virtual May 2020 event, the user conference will resume at a biannual cadence. RevAlation brings together Alation customers who are deeply involved in the success of their organization’s self-service analytics, data governance, and data literacy initiatives to discuss challenges and learnings, share best practices, and network.

RevAlation will kick off with presentations from Alation executives Satyen Sangani, co-founder and CEO; Aaron Kalb, co-founder and CDAO; and Raj Gossain, SVP of product. The user conference will also include breakout tracks, optional Birds of a Feather networking sessions, and three main content tracks:
The Business Track features executive-level sessions discussing data culture, data in the COVID era, and rolling out an enterprise data program. Attendees will hear from top data executives including Wendy Turner-Williams, VP of data management & strategy at Salesforce; Michelle Hoiseth, CDO at Parexel; and Minna Kärhä, head of data & analytics at Finnair.
The Alation @ Work Track includes sessions on using Alation to create a single source of truth, for data governance, and as a first-class training program. Presenters include Anthony Forbers, VP of corporate & institutional banking, data analytics & solutions at PNC Financial Services Group; Anthony Seraphim, VP of data governance at Texas Mutual Insurance Company; and Paul Meyer, product owner, data governance at GE Aviation.
The Product Track offers sessions with technical deep-dives on using APIs to automate lineage, building out customizations in the business glossary, and using Alation Analytics. Speakers include leading data experts Xiaocun Xu, head of finance, data governance & quality at MassMutual; Zena Filice, senior manager, enterprise data governance at Salesforce, and Chad Baker, manager, data lifecycle management at Salesforce; and Stephen Perry, director of data & analytics at Genius Sports.
