Alation CEO Honored by Goldman Sachs for Entrepreneurship
Satyen Sangani recognized as one of the Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2022 at Builders and Innovators Summit
Redwood City, Calif. – October 13, 2022 – Alation Inc., the data intelligence company, today announced Satyen Sangani, CEO and co-founder, was recognized by Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) as one of the Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2022 at its Builders and Innovators Summit in Healdsburg, California. Goldman Sachs selected Sangani from a deep pool of visionaries that span industries and will be honored at the two-day event.
Before Alation, Sangani’s rise to entrepreneurship started with a career at Morgan Stanley as an analyst and as an associate with the private investment firm, Texas Pacific Group. He pivoted careers from the banking industry to technology, where he spent nearly a decade at Oracle solving problems that left him feeling that much more innovation was needed in data and how people use it. In founding Alation, Satyen aspired to help people objectively observe the world around them through data, empowering them to improve it. He committed himself to empowering a curious and rational world where everyone, regardless of technical skill set, could find and understand data and use it to make better decisions.
