Tell us more about your job. What’s a typical day like in your role?

My day-to-day responsibilities include onboarding new hires, interviewing and scouting for the best talent on the market, as well as strategizing with the team on how to overachieve their targets.

What attracted you to work at Alation? How did you know it would be a good fit?

What attracted me the most about Alation is the stage at which the company is growing, the number of customers, and also the amazing culture.

Tell us about when you’ve felt most proud of your work or colleagues.

Our recent Series D funding made me most proud of working at Alation. This funding round proves that Alation is one of the greatest products in the data space and that the industry believes in us.

What do you value most about your company’s or team’s culture? What sets it apart from other places you’ve worked?

When I get asked what are the most important aspects when it comes to picking the right company, the first things that come to mind are product and culture. The culture of a company not only affects your day-to-day life, but also your performance. At Alation, the focus on having a great culture that encourages success is like at no other place. Alation’s positive culture makes you feel like you are part of a family and that your work matters.

How has your company shown appreciation for your work? What kinds of employee achievements are recognized?

Hard work is recognized at Alation. I started working at Alation as a sales development representative (SDR) and only a few months later when the opportunity arose, I was promoted to SDR Manager. This proves that hard work and achievements are recognized and rewarded.

What advice do you have for someone in your field applying to jobs at your company?
