In the Solutions Showcase, Robert Stratton, VP of analytics at MarketShare and an Alation customer, will share MarketShare’s experience with “Increasing Analyst Productivity & Innovation on Hadoop.” Robert will speak on the adoption of processes and platforms that have increased analyst productivity and improved collaboration within his team to speed true data discovery.

Additionally, during a tech talk titled, “Considerations for Building a Cognitive Application,” Alation CTO, Venky Ganti, will share a technical perspective on the challenges of designing & building a recommendation system for analysts. He will address trade-offs between algorithms evaluated for use in the system. As part of his presentation, Venky will demonstrate an example application that is currently in daily production use and relied upon by hundreds of analysts for query recommendations.
